How to use Gmail Filter Function Correctly.

In this tips I will describe how to we can use Gmail filter function correctly. When you use email account you will see lot of emails came from adult sites, huge spam mails and unwanted emails from web sites and advertising companies. Using this filter feature we can filter your inbox emails. Now we are going to see how to create filter in you Gmail account.

First go to Gmail settings section, using link

Then you will load Gmail settings page as follows.

Click on Filters tab and you will see link as Create a new filter, then press on it to create new one, after you will see new dialog box as follows.

Now choose your filter, what you want to filter and not, Use from fields to mention email address you don’t need to received emails,. And in subject field type which subjected mails want to be filtered and “Has the words” enter ward you want to filter and “in Doesn’t have” field enter word you don’t filter. After completing above window press “Create filter with this search” link and you will go to next page.

Tell Gmail what you want to do if mail received from unwanted recipient included above filter. You can see lot of options to do those mails. After selecting your option Press Create filter button, and if you want filter current inbox mails check “Also apply filter to xxx matching conversations.” Option

Now it is created as above, you can edit or delete your filter later. If you want add more filters use Create a new filter link.

Now it is okay, you now created filter with Gmail new interface. Enjoy Gmail full functions. J
